Hi!  I'm Kathryn, an award-winning journalist based in San Francisco.

My reporting has appeared in ProPublica, The Los Angeles Times, and PBS FRONTLINE. In 2021, I received a George Polk Award for my reporting in PBS documentary American Insurrection. I'm currently a reporter at UC Berkeley's Investigative Reporting Program, where I uncover systemic issues related to child welfare.  

I hold a master's degree in journalism from Berkeley.  When I'm not writing and reporting, you can find me journaling in the Presidio, biking along the Golden Gate Bridge, or running along SF's endless trails.
